Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage totally unrecognisable without signature beard

Peter Dinklage is totally unrecognisable without his signature facial hair.

The Game of Thrones actor, who played the iconic Tyrion Lannister in the show, was seen out and about looking noticeably fresh-faced while attending The Thicket’s premiere in LA.

Dinklage wore a grey t-shirt with a grey shirt over top and paired his look with a black baseball cap. Peter decided to ditch his facial hair for the evening as he celebrated at The Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists in California.

The film is based on a book of the same name, written by Joe R. Lansdale, and the film also stars Juliette Lewis. Dinklage spoke to Mama’s Geeky about his upcoming role: “It always feels a bit surreal. Sometimes there are days when you wonder if it will ever be made, and then you just have to persevere and keep going.”

Peter is best known for playing Tyrion Lannister

“Covid locked us down for a couple years there, like everybody else that went through that but you just got to persevere. It works out because you get somebody like Juliette Lewis as your co-lead and that’s everything.”

Peter’s best known role is as Tyrion in the GOT series, but other notable roles include characters in Avengers: Infinity War, Elf, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

The actor has enjoyed a long Hollywood career

Fans may also recognise his voice from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, during which he plays Scourge. The Hollywood star has won a number of accolades for his career, including a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

The 55-year-old actor keeps himself out of the spotlight when away from the cameras and leads a relatively private life off-screen. He married his wife Erica Schmidt back in 2005 and the pair have a daughter, born in 2011, and a son, born in 2017.
