Giovanni Pernice has refused to confirm his future on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Italian professional dancer, 33, has been seen for the first time since reports of an ongoing feud with his former Strictly partner Amanda Abbington. It’s said she recently joined forces with Gio’s other former dance partners Laura Whitmore and Ranvir Singh to share “emotional” complaints about his difficult nature in training.
Brushing it all off, Giovanni stepped out at Sheesh restaurant in Mayfair, London with a group of friends. He was joined by the likes of TOWIE star James Lock as he shrugged off any recent grumbles about him.

The Strictly star was spotted leaving the restaurant at around midnight and when asked about his future on the BBC programme he had a very brief response for the snappers. He responded: “As if I am going to tell you that.”
Earlier this week Giovanni broke his silence on Lorraine Kelly’s ITV breakfast programme after reports had surfaced to suggest that Amanda Abbington was taking fresh action against the professional dancer. The Sherlock actor had appeared on the 2023 show but exited early over “medial reasons”.
Amanda later reportedly accused her partner of being difficult to work with during training. This came after speculation had been mounting for some time that she’d actually walked because of a secret feud with Gio.
Giovanni appeared on Tuesday ‘s episode of Lorraine (March 19) and was joined by Strictly judge Anton Du Beke. After the niceties were over with, the Scottish host got down to business with quizzing the dancer over what had been going on.
She asked the Italian-native: “We know Strictly didn’t quite work for you this year? Are you going to change as I know you are a perfectionist.”
Being a tad rigid with his response, he scooted around with his answer which pretty much outlined he wasn’t going to adapt the way in which he worked on the show. He told her: “Its not just about the winning, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.”
Gio added: “I think it is a shame, as I have said in the past I think Amanda could have gone all the way to the final, great talent. You know the idea is to get them be the best they can be, as I have said before with Amanda and we were getting good feedback from the judges.”
At the weekend, Giovanni was plunged into fresh crisis claims with the BBC after it was believed a trio of his former celebrity partners came together to share their experiences of working with him. Sources relayed to The Sun that Amanda, Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore were all in attendance of the “emotional summit” where they “compared notes”.
The source said: “All three had difficult experiences with Giovanni, who is well known to be intense during training. They met in person to share their experiences. Their meeting was emotional but heart-warming.
“They now know they are there to support each other after their tough times with Giovanni. Tears were shed.”
