A Good Morning Britain star has been admitted to intensive care.
LBC radio host Iain Dale said he’s having a “nightmare” after being taken to A&E on Monday night (July 29). The 62-year-old broadcaster has revealed that he would be missing his show on Monday evening due to the hospital visit.
He wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Three and a half hours in A&E and it looks like a gall bladder issue. They’re running tests. Might have to come back tomorrow.”

The presenter, who regularly features on the GMB panel, later shared that he was in intensive care and needed to undergo an operation. He added: “Firstly, thanks for all the good wishes.
“I went to A&E last night at 9pm with acute pain on the right hand side of my chest. I am now in intensive care awaiting an operation to remove my gall bladder. Not ideal. In fact, it’s a nightmare. NHS care at Tunbridge Wells hospital is so far outstanding.”
The ITV star was inundated with support from his follower. One replied: “This is my local hospital and I have always had extremely good care so I feel sure you are in very good hands! I wish you a speedy recovery.”
A second commented: “Oh no! So sorry to hear Iain. Godspeed.” A third wrote: “Sorry to hear this Iain- wishing you a speedy recovery.”
And another added: “Pembry is excellent both for care and facilities. I hope the op goes smoothly and sorry to hear you’re in such pain, hopefully they’ve given you something for that. Rest up and get better!”.
