Hollywood actor Zack Norman has passed away at the age of 83.
The star was best known for his role in Romancing The Stone and Cadillac Man passed away on Sunday April 28. It was reported that his cause of death was “natural causes”.
Zack’s family confirmed the sad news to Deadline on Monday evening. They told the publication that the actor had died at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbankon.
It is understood that the Hollywood star was not married and it’s unknown if he leaves behind any children. Zack hit the big screens back in the 1970s, starring in the epic film film Romancing The Stone.
He rubbed shoulders with the likes of Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny Devito in the legendary motion picture. Zack played the role of Cousin Ira, which saw his career skyrocket in the world of film after.
In the film, his alter-ego was famed for his love of crocodiles. The memorable line, sees him declare: “Look at those snappers!”
Before Zack found television, he’d tried his hand at comedy and even worked the Playboy clubs before turning his attentions to acting. His television debut landed in 1969 on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.
He also co-starred in the 1990 film Cadillac Man opposite Robin Williams, Tim Robbins and Fran Drescher. Another crucial role in his career arrived when he reunited with Drescher in The Nanny.
Zack’s recurring character, Uncle Jack, made three appearances from 1993-1995 in The Nanny. He also appeared in two part episode of The A-Team and featured in one episode of Baywatch in 1993.
Beloved fans have taken to their platforms after hearing the news to pen “RIP Zack Norman,” along with crediting his work.
