Ron Harper has sadly passed away aged 91.
The Hollywood star, who appeared in the Planet of the Apes TV series, died of natural causes at his Los Angeles, his daughter has confirmed. He famously TV series based off the classic Charlton Heston movie, died at his home in Los Angeles.
The film star died of natural causes, his family revealed. The famous actor also went on to work on TV series Land Of The Lost in 1976, after featuring in Planet of the Apes.

Prior to this, he also appeared in The Tall Man and Laramie. Later on, he also starred alongside Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale in iconic film Pearl Harbor.
In his younger days, college graduate Ron finished up his studies at Princeton University and moved to Hollywood in his youth. Here is where he started his career in theatre in 1955.
He also once revealed he was offered a fellowship to go to Harvard Law School. However, he ended up turning it down to pursue his acting dreams.
Ron spoke about this decision in 1966 and said: “I kept saying to myself, ‘Should you waste your good education being an actor?’ And that little voice within me kept saying things like, ‘What do you want to take that fellowship to Harvard Law for?
“Be an actor. Starving is fun… And like the fool that any actor has to be, I listened to that dumb little voice.”
The actor is survived by his daughter, his son-in-law Daniel and granddaughters Ronnie and Harper. Along with his ex-wife Shirley and his first wife actress Sally Stark. Tributes have poured in for the actor online, as they grieve the loss of a loved star.
