Jeremy Clarkson’s farm invaded by ’18 billion slugs’ that are wrecking lager production

Bitter Jeremy Clarkson says his farm is being invaded by “18 billion slugs” which are wrecking production of his lager.

The Clarkson’s Farm star owns a share in Cotswold brewery and last week admitted he had got so fat glugging the booze he could not fit behind the wheel of a Lamborghini. Now the ex-Top Gear host has moaned his land has been besieged by an army of slimy critters eyeing up his barley.

To halt their march towards his crops – which he uses to produce his Hawkstone brew – he said he had to “pepper the field with slug pellets”. But the chemicals also kill worms which feast on dead roots, leaves, grasses and manure and improve the quality of the soil.

Jeremy, 64, said: “If I adopt a live-and-let-live rewilding attitude and do nothing they will eat the lot. And, next year, there will be no Hawkstone lager.

“I therefore have to pepper the field with slug pellets which will kill them. Great. But these pellets will also kill all the worms. So what’s the answer?”

This comes after Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper revealed how fans of the show keep sending him nude selfies. But are they from men or women?

“Both… I think everyone’s drinking at eight o’clock,” Kaleb confessed. He also said that he and boss Jezza argue so much during filming that the camera crew get bored of their rows.

Caleb explained: “The viewers probably only see about 30% of the arguments. The cameras stop, and then all of a sudden we’re still arguing. Even the camera crew now just walk off.”
