Loose Women legend Coleen Nolan opened up about relationship woes on the programme as she talked about helping her children through heartbreak with the ITV panel
Loose Women’s very own Coleen Nolan has dished out on her kid’s first savage heartbreak during a chat about love life struggles on the ITV daytime show. The 59-year-old telly icon was catching up with panel mates Charlene White, Brenda Edwards and Gloria Hunniford in Monday’s tinsel-topped episode (December 16).
As they dug into the juicy topic of Fearne Cotton’s recent relationship woes, Charlene quizzed the gang on how crucial it is for the younger generation to go through a messy breakup.
Coleen, opening up from the heart, shared: “When my kids went through it, I remember one time in particular, I went upstairs and one of my kids was just lying on the floor sobbing. And I went and laid down with them and just held them really.”
She continued, laying it bare, saying: “They were 17 and I knew they didn’t want to hear me say ‘you know this is probably going to happen ten times, you will get over it’ because when you’re young, you don’t think you will.”
Bringing back her own gut-wrenching memories, she added: “I remember going back to that feeling of when my heart was broken and my heart was breaking for them because you don’t want your kid’s heartbroken. But it was a lovely moment between the two of us and I thought, just let them cry and we’ll work it out day by day- however long it takes- and it will ease.”, reports the Mirror.
Coleen pointed out that being there is “important”, but she got real saying you hardly ever warn folks about the chance of things hitting the rocks.
The Loose Women queen has been all over the news lately after spilling the beans earlier this month about her own emotional split from fella Michael Jones after a three-year stint.
