Joey Essex could be in for a rough stint in the Love Island villa after his ex-girlfriend Grace Jackson entered the ITV show.
The arrival of the blonde bombshell, alongside hunk Wil Anderson and babe Tiffany Leighton, on Thursday night (June 13) left the Islanders in shock. However, no one was more stunned by the news than reality titan Joey, 33, who was the first new arrival of the series.
TOWIE legend Essex was gobsmacked when Grace appeared in the villa, and it seems that Grace has a bone to pick with her former flame. The pair had been dating for about six weeks earlier this year, but things went south fast and the couple called it quits soon after.

According to sources, Joey was rather smitten with the babe, 25, and went to every length to woo her – including some fine dining and expensive treats. But soon after, Essex put an end to the relationship once things became deeper than he wanted it to, leaving the woman devastated.

Speaking to MailOnline, an insider close to the former couple said: “Joey dated Grace for six weeks and she was less than impressed by the way their relationship ended. There’s definitely some unfinished business between them and she isn’t going to hold back in expressing how she feels in the villa.”
Continuing on, the source said: “She’s drop dead gorgeous, and Joey is bound to regret the way he treated her, not to mention the pressure it’s going to put on his new romance with Samantha.” Mancunian model Grace has previously had issues with her lovers, many of whom were unable to deal with her fast-paced lifestyle.

Going into the villa, Grace explained that she found dating “painful” because none of her former partners have had good communication skills. She added that in the villa she is looking for someone who can deal with her jet set lifestyle, and does not take themselves too seriously.
Now, as Grace makes her way into the villa, she has vowed to get some answers from her ex on why he cut ties so quickly. However, this might pose a problem to Joey’s current fling Samantha Kenny, after they went on a romantic rooftop date in Thursday’s episode.

Scouser Samantha, 26, is currently coupled up with the reality legend, and is seemingly head over heels for him. But in recent episodes, his affection has started to wain, as he recently admitted that he was “in neutral” about his feelings for the make-up artist.
