Former Love Island star Rachel Finni has given birth to a baby girl.
The 32-year old, who rose to fame on the ITV show in 2021’s series seven has named the newborn, Rae Viola Finni-Lopes. Proud mum Rachel, who has not revealed the dad’s identity, shared the news in a sweet Instagram post on Friday evening (April 5).
In a black and white snap, the reality star could be seen cradling the tot from her hospital bed as she gazed into the camera. Rachel simply captioned her post: “Rae Viola Finni-Lopes” adding a white heart emoji.
A second shot showed Rachel being comforted by her partner as baby Rae laid across her swaddled in a cream blanket. And a third image showed Rachel’s tummy, which she wrote alongside: “Empty Belly but Full Heart.”

Rachel soon told her 80,000 followers on the platform: “Wish I could say I was in a baby bubble – more so a pain web!! I’m in extreme agony but just wanted to let you all know she’s here and perfect.”
She continued: “I’m obsessed with this little girl down to the little hairs on her ears and tiny nails on her toes. She also has the best dad in the world and I have the best family and friends.”
Fellow Islanders Kaz Kamwi and Molly Smith were quick to congratulate the star, as were scores of Rachel’s fans. One commented: “Gorgeous girls and I love the name! Congratulations mumma.” Another wrote: “Congratulations she is absolutely beautiful just like her Mom.”
A third penned: “Amazing. Congratulations. Beautiful name for a beautiful baby xx.” And a fourth said: “Beautiful. Welcome to the world beautiful little bubba! Congratulations to you darling.”
Back in January, Rachel, who returned to her normal job as a group and sales executive for two luxury hotels in London, revealed that she’d earned essentially £10,000 per day for her time on Love Island. She quickly achieved icon status after she waltzed in as the bombshell of all bombshells with one of the most memorable entrances in the shows history. While her time on the programme was cut short – far too soon in our opinion – it didn’t stop her from going on to earn the big bucks.
Speaking to us exclusively, Rachel told said: “I was on it [Love Island] for five minutes and still managed to bag a quick £80k.” The reality star was confident that a lot of money could be up grabs if islanders played their cards right in the villa and was adamant no one is really there for love.
“They take people on the show based on their characteristics and how entertaining they’re going to be. Not if they’re desirable or think this particular person will fall in love with them. It’s a TV show for entertainment. It’s not to find love.”
