One of the stars of the hit BBC drama Peaky Blinders has sparked concern after wandering through the streets of London topless.
Paul Anderson, 46, is best known on the show for his strong portrayal of Arthur Shelby on the smash drama, which brought in millions of viewers each series. The show’s popularity has continued to grow, so much so that a Peaky Blinders movie is currently in the works.
Filming for the movie is due to begin in September, with the finished product coming out in due course. But ahead of the much-anticipated film being produced, concerns have been raised about Anderson’s health and well-being.

Pictures that were taken recently showed the actor parading around his £1.2million home in north London looking particularly haggard. He was also seen without a shirt on, leading many of his pals to be concerned he is on a “downward spiral”.
Looking out for their mate Paul, who has amassed a huge following since the show began airing on BBC One, a shopkeeper who described himself as being close to Paul said that things are going downhill for the star. He explained: “It’s heart-breaking, he’s a mess.
“But his erratic behaviour is causing real problems; he often seems dazed and not with it,” he said in an interview with MailOnline. “He’s had arguments with people locally – he walks around making a lot of noise.”
The shopkeeper added: “We are all very worried, he had a big argument in Tesco a few weeks ago. He is living like he is on another planet. He’s been in public topless – he struggles to walk.”
This is not the first time that Paul has hit back at concerns for his health. Back in February, Anderson spoke to his legions of followers after snaps of him looking worse for wear were published when he was seen leaving a bakery close to his luxury pad.
The incident came just weeks after Paul pleaded guilty to drug possession charges after officers discovered he was holding crack cocaine, amphetamines and prescription medication. In a message to fans following the debacle, he thanked his fans for their worries and concerns, but assured them things would be okay.
Captioning a snap of himself in the back of a car, he wrote: “Thank you for all your love and concern to everybody. I was and have been absolutely flattened by the flu. I also want to take time to thank each and every one of you all over the world for all the messages of love and support – I see you and appreciate it humbly and sincerely.
“Always remember nobody cares about the truth when the lie is way more entertaining than the truth,” he added. “I am back don’t you worry about that.”
The new Peaky Blinders film – which will be set in the Shelby’s hometown of Birmingham – will begin production in September. Lead actor Cillian Murphy, who plays the notorious Tommy Shelby in the show, has been confirmed to be reprising his role once again.
