Former Strictly Come Dancing winner Louis Smith has announced he is going to become a father for a second time.
The Olympic gymnast and his doting girlfriend Charlie Bruce confirmed the exciting news online with a picture of their sonogram online. The happy couple are also parents to their three-year-old daughter Marley Valentina.
Taking to Instagram, he captioned the post: “It’s so nice we had to do it twice.” It didn’t take long before the pair were flooded with congratulatory comments online.

JLS singer and close pal Aston Merrygold penned: “Unbelievable my guy! Congratulations to you all.” Love Island star Amber Davies added: “Omg congratulations” followed by a string of heart emojis.
Former Strictly pro Ian Waite chimed in with: “Aahhhhhhh congratulations.” Louis won Strictly Come Dancing back in 2012 with his partner Flavia Cacace. He is also the proud owner of two Olympic silver medals, and one bronze to his name.
He also boasts two gold medals from the European Championships, and two Commonwealth Games golds. The sportsman later received an MBE for services to sport in 2013 and retired from gymnastics after the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Louis has been with his girlfriend Charlie, who is a jazz dancer, since November 2017. The pair have since moved to Peterborough and have ventured out into new careers.
He is now a professional photographer and works as a property developer, flipping several investment properties already. Elsewhere, the Olympian has also dabbled in acting, even appearing in the comedy series Murder in Successville.
Loyal fans of the star will also remember he recently won The Masked Dancer as Carwash back in 2021. After winning the show, he told The Sun how he has struggled to keep their family afloat financially during lockdown when work dried up.
He told the publication: “We’re both in the entertainment world, and it’s a prime example of how anything can happen of stopping your work. Everything stopped, there was no help from the government, we were surviving on savings I had from the bank, so it wasn’t sustainable.”
It was at this point that the pair decided to make a “sensible investment” to strengthen their future. Louis and Charlie soon became home owners in order to provide a “secure” environment for their little girl.
He went on: “Especially now with having a baby in the world, we wanted something that was more tangible that we can secure the future with. In ten years time [we hope to] have multiple properties and have our future invested that way.”
