Tommy Fury heaps praise on Molly-Mae Hague as he shrugs off drama after split

Tommy Fury has smothered his ex-fiancée Molly-Mae Hague with praise as he slammed drama rumours.

The professional boxer, 25, has been gearing up for the release of his new book Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury. The autobiography, written by the Love Island star himself, was released last week, and contained never-before-seen sides of the reality contestant’s life.

Ahead of the release of the book, it was revealed that the publication had to be delayed so that Tommy could include one more chapter about his shock split from former lover Molly-Mae Hague. This decision left the former PrettyLittleThing favourite “upset” according to pals, as she hoped to keep the details of the split from the public eye.

“Nothing comes before my daughter Bambi, she is everything in my life,” he explained. “She’s the best that I have in my life, and everything I do now is for her.”

Tommy added that he works his schedule around Bambi so that they can maximise the time that they spend bonding. He added: “She’s got an amazing family around her, she’s got – what I feel is – the best father in me, and she’s got the best mum in Molly.

“She’s got an unbelievable family and, despite everything that’s going on, there is nothing that’s affecting that child’s childhood – and that’s the main thing,” he continued. “She’s gonna have a great time!”

Tommy also hit out at the media, saying they stir up rumours for the sake of sales

He also added that he pays no attention to the media, who he feels has been stirring up drama for the sake of sales. He explained: “I don’t really care about what the media says, because the media make up things all the time; they print whatever they want to sell papers.”

It comes as Tommy and Molly-Mae continue to reel from their shock split back in August, which left fans of the couple stunned. Molly-Mae, also 25, opened up in a statement saying that she had been crushed by the decision to split, but that her focus was now on the child and making sure she was okay.

Following the split, rumours of cheating were brought against Tommy, with claims that he had slept with a Danish girl whilst on a lads’ holiday in North Macedonia. Tommy has strongly denied all the allegations being made against him.

In the meantime, Tommy has been getting back on the grind to continue his work as a professional boxer, including a gruelling training regime. Admitting that it was the “hardest” part of his life, he said that his intense training will get him into shape before heading into the boxing ring next.
