The 51-year-old Phats And Small singer was with Vanessa for 17 years until their relationship ended last year. Their split was very public, with both parties speaking out in interviews and on social media.

The breakup took a toll on Vanessa, who lost more than two stone as she struggled to eat and went through a “heartbreak diet”. Now in a relationship with his new girlfriend Precious Muir, 34, Ben claimed he “got nothing” from his time with Vanessa.
“I gave myself to someone for a quarter of my life and ultimately I got nothing from it… it’s absolutely heartbreaking,” he said. He further told MailOnline : “I was so in love but I felt like I was being strung along and she just wanted a bit of arm candy, whereas I wanted marriage and kids and real love.
“For her, I felt I was just a convenience. I was a cooler, younger guy that gave her a youthful appearance”
Ben claimed she twisted the story to make him look bad after taking his “best years”. Ben was in the news again after talking with former Apprentice star Ryan-Mark Parsons.
He joked about replying to messages online, saying: “I always reply to all my DMs, that’s why I’m in this trouble,” and mentioned he likes celebs Sheridan Smith and Ulrika Jonsson.
He called Ulrika “gorgeous, stunning” and said he would go for her. Reports say Vanessa was upset by his words, as it felt like “rubbing salt in the wound”.
A source told OK! : “Vanessa is embarrassed and mortified by his comments, but she’s in a really good place. She just wants it all to go away now and she won’t want to go backwards.”
