Britney Spears was snapped getting off a plane in Mexico with one of her bodyguards, who was holding a plastic baby doll wrapped in fluffy pink swaddling blankets
Britney Spears has left fans baffled after she was spotted on holiday with a creepy plastic doll.
The pop princess is mum to sons Sean, 19, and Jayden, 18, with her ex Kevin Federline, but fans were left wondering whether she had given birth again when she was seen landing in Mexico with a baby doll in tow. Britney, 43, was snapped getting off a plane at Cabo San Lucas Airport in Mexico – where she has often vacationed – with one of her bodyguards.
He was clutching a pink baby blanket, and what looked like a baby’s leg and a foot in a little bootie could be seen peeking out. Holding the mysterious bundle to his chest, he walked across the tarmac with Britney, who was keeping a low profile in a black hoodie and sunglasses.
The scene sparked speculation about Britney becoming a mum again, with one onlooker telling the Daily Mail: “All you could see was the baby’s foot, but at one point they were loading up bags into a limo and you could see the back of its head. Everyone was staring at the kid in the blanket and thinking, has she had another baby?”
However, from a little closer up it became clear that the ‘baby’ was actually made of plastic and was just a toy. “It’s one of the oddest things I’ve ever seen,” the witness admitted.
The star’s followers also posted messages on X remarking on the star’s “unusual luggage”, with some calling the toy “creepy”. “Why is Britney making her security guard carry around a baby doll?” asked one baffled fan.
However, someone else remarked that the star should “do what she wants”. One posted: “Britney Spears showed up to Mexico with a baby doll wrapped in a blanket and honestly? That’s the most emotionally honest thing anyone’s done this week.”
Another joked: “Damn. A middle aged woman can’t even take her baby doll on vacation these days.”
It isn’t the first time that Britney has revealed she’s a fan of baby dolls. A few years back she got fans talking when she posted a video on Instagram that showed her rocking one.
The lifelike baby doll was clad in a onesie and a hat and the singer planted a kiss on its face as she told her fans: “I had a baby y’all.” She went on to give further details about the new arrival, before admitting it was a joke.
“I will be taking some time off shooting at home every day!!!” she said. “Her nursery is beautiful and her name is Brennan… we even look alike!!!”
“I’m turning 40 this year,” said the I’m A Slave 4 U singer. “Age is nothing but a number but seriously… growing up is the dumbest thing you’ll ever do so PLAY ON MY FRIENDS.”
