Chesney Hawkes’ wife has set the record straight after he revealed she once whipped him in a sex club.
The One And Only singer made the racy confession in the Celebrity Big Brother house, after previously teasing he was a “bit of a nudist”. Opening up to the other contestants after being asked to reveal a headline grabbing titbit about himself, he admitted: “I was once in a sex club and I was whipped in front of the whole club and there are photos to prove it.”
Asked who did the whipping, Chesney said it was “a very, very muscly butch guy in a thong”. However, he claimed wife Kristina then took over.
She has now weighed in on the steamy story, telling new! magazine that they weren’t regular sex club visitors. Krissy – who has been married to Chesney since 1997 – said it was a “one-off” experience for them.
“Okay let’s clear that up…” she told the mag. “It wasn’t a sex club per se.
“It was a bar in Los Angeles with a little area upstairs… We popped up there for a second and thought, ‘Why not?'”
She went on: “It was a one-off spontaneous moment – not something we’ve got booked in the calendar regularly! For us, it’s all about fun and spontaneity.”
CBB finalist Chesney, 53, and Krissy have three children – Casey, Indi and Jesse. They have split their time between the UK and the US, but last year decided to settle in the singer’s home county of Surrey.
The pop star has previously shared how he met his American wife by chance in 1995. He was at a pub in Barnes when she walked in with a fellow model and caught his eye.
He told The Guardian in 2022: “It was crazy that they were there and not, say, in the West End, but I walked up to one and asked if I could buy her a drink and she said, ‘I’ll have a pint of lager, please.’ I was like, ‘Oh my God! Will you marry me?'”
Romance blossomed and the pair started dating. “She had no idea who I was when we met and she keeps me on a level emotionally,” the singer said.
Chesney said Krissy also helped him to get organised financially, saying when they met he was “very much in a hole”. “Her father was a banker and she is very, very good with money,” he explained. “So she was like, ‘OK, let’s restructure you here’.”
