A Coronation Street star has quit the cobbles
Scott Anson dropped the bombshell news that he’s wrapped up his final scenes on the iconic soap.
Anson, who brought the character Reece Bolton to life on ITV, first graced our screens in 2022 and has since racked up over 30 appearances. The actor revealed his “very last” episode was released on 23 April.
Reece burst onto the scene three years back as part of a menacing far-right extremist crew headed by Griff Reynolds (portrayed by Michael Condron). The storyline saw the gang drawing in Reece’s daughter Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton) and Max Turner (the role taken by Paddy Bever), reports the Mirror.

Ahead of his final episode, Scott took to social media to write: “Catch my very last ep as Reece Bolton @coronationstreet.”
Scott’s final moments saw his character caught in a showdown with his daughter Lauren Bolton, played by Cait Fitton.
Reece asked her to visit him in prison, but after an argument broke out Lauren revealed that she didn’t want anything to do with him.
In a shocking moment, Reece explained that he may not have been her biological father all along.
Scott’s decision to quit the ITV soap comes after a number of Corrie stars have thrown in the towel. Soon, Daisy Midgeley star Charlotte Jordan will be departing and told The Sun that her time on the show “is something she’ll always cherish.”
Other Coronation Street icons set to wave goodbye to the cobbles include Sue Cleaver, known for playing Eileen Grimshaw, Sue Devaney, who plays Debbie Webster, and Colson Smith, who landed the role of Craig Tinker.
