EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick has reportedly been dumped by his girlfriend Chloe after a video emerged of the star brandishing a sex toy whilst on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour
EastEnders’ Jamie Borthwick has reportedly been given the boot by his girlfriend in the wake of a Strictly Come Dancing scandal. The soap star was dating Chloe while he was dancing on the BBC show and its live tour.
However, it seems that Chloe and Jamie have now called it quits.
A source told The Sun: “Strictly was a whirlwind for Jamie and they managed to keep it going when he was on the show. But Chloe dumped Jamie when he finished the Strictly tour. She said she felt like Jamie didn’t have time for her.”
The insider added: “Seeing the video of him with the sex toy and acting so weirdly made her realise it was the right choice. Jamie acts like a boy in a man’s body. She doesn’t have time for that.”
This comes after a video surfaced showing Jamie, 30, waving around a sex toy sent to him by Go Compare opera singer Wynne Evans, 53. The cringe-worthy clip was allegedly shared in a group chat with other Strictly celebs, who reportedly didn’t sign up for such saucy content.
Given that many Strictly stars are seen as wholesome and family-friendly, there are concerns their reputations could be sullied by Jamie and Wynne’s alleged antics.
The scandalous video showed Jamie and Wynne having a laugh over a sex toy while on the road for The Strictly Live Tour 2025. This clip comes after Wynne’s previous gaffe, where he was caught on camera making a risqué remark about pro dancer Janette Manrara just two days prior.
The bombshell dropped when Wynne got the boot from the live tour, leaving fans gobsmacked.
An insider revealed: “As soon as BBC executives were made aware of this shocking and immature footage being shared they formally addressed the issue and reminded the pair they had to act professionally.”
They added: “The men were acting extremely immaturely and inappropriately, considering it was a family show, and many cast members didn’t share their crass sense of humour. Bosses were horrified and shocked, hoping to nip the issue in the bud, unaware the video had been shared more widely.”
Caught on tape, which was shared with The Sun, EastEnders star Jamie is seen flaunting the naughty novelty, claiming Wynne sent it to the reception at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena. Brandishing the toy, Jamie then pans the camera to capture Wynne, shirtless and rehearsing with Neil Jones.
Jamie says: “Look at what he bought me. I opened it up and he surprised me with this, didn’t he. It’s so funny.”
After the video details were leaked, Wynne finally spoke out about the recent controversy by heading to social media. He took to Instagram on Sunday afternoon, sharing a story with a snap of a garden as seen from an ice bath.
His caption read: “Ice bath view. Love to you all #mentalhealth.”
Just hours before, he had posted a picture of himself taking a dip in a lake, captioning it: “I find cold water swimming helps with my mental health. Please look after each other.”
