Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher – aka Andy Sugden – has thrilled viewers by confirming that his family family programme is set to return for a third series
Kelvin Fletcher has sparked excitement after teasing a new series of his farm show.
The former Emmerdale star swapped the Dales for a quieter life on his 120-acre farm in Cheshire, documenting his and his family’s adventures in Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure in 2022 and then Fletchers’ Family Farm. Fans loved their peek into the actor’s world with wife Liz Marsland and their kids Marnie, Milo and twins Mateusz and Maximus.
It ran for two series and was a big hit. So there was disappointment all around when the pair announced on Instagram after the last series: “And that’s a wrap!”
“Thank you so much to everyone who tuned in week after week to see our farming journey!” the couple said. “We are so grateful for all the lovely messages and comments and so happy that you have enjoyed watching it as much as we loved making it!”
Fans were desperate to hear there was more to come, and Kelvin has now confirmed it on Instagram. Sharing a video of a sheep with a newborn lamb, he told fans: “And you thought we were just showing you a newborn lamb! SERIES 3 is GOOOOOOOO!”
Viewers hailed Kelvin’s announcement as “brilliant news”. “Can’t wait it’s the highlight of the week for me,” said one excited fan.
Another exclaimed: “Yes!!! I loved series 1&2, I heard series 3 wasn’t happening so this is great news. Love everything that you all do on the farm.”
“Yay can’t wait to see your beautiful & amazing family back on our screens,” said somebody else. “Can’t wait to see everything that’s going on… fantastic news.”
One fan said it was “the news I have been waiting for”. “Just finished series 2 and loved every second of it,” they went on. “Great work you are all doing bring awareness to farming and good food.”
“Great news, it’s such a lovely wholesome show, it’s good for the heart & soul,” posted another fan. “Woohoo. Can’t wait,” commented someone else.
Kelvin found fame playing Andy Sugden in the ITV soap, He was a cast member from 1996 until 2016, then went on to appear in other shows like Moving On and Death In Paradise.
He was also a contest on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 and won the show with his pro partner Oti Mabuse.
