Katie Price has shared a sweet text message from her son Harvey, 22, as she revealed he did not want to go back to college and was ‘sad and angry’ at the prospect
Katie Price has opened up about a heart-rending text from her son Harvey as she heals from surgery.
Her eldest son expressed his desire not to return to college. On The Katie Price Show podcast, the dedicated mum shared the struggles faced by her 22-year-old lad as shows off her latest transformation.
The ex-glamour model recently paid a visit to Harvey and spoke about his hesitation to head back to the educational setting after some family time at home. Katie shared Harvey’s heartbreaking message: “Hey mummy, I don’t like to stay at college because I’ve got a bad cough, because I am so bored to stay at college mummy. I am so sad and angry at staying at college because I hate it.”
The reality star couldn’t hide her own pain upon hearing this, admitting: “It’s so sad isn’t it? It actually broke my heart when I had to drive off, because he really didn’t want to go back.”
Harvey was born with Prader-Willi syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia affecting his vision, and is also autistic.
Katie, who shares Harvey with former football star Dwight Yorke, watched her boy move into full-time college care over three years ago to cater to his complex needs. Opening up about the difficult decision, Katie once told the BBC: “It does come to a point where sometimes you have to let go and let other people help,” reports OK!.
Katie also opened up about raising her son Harvey, confessing: “I used to think, ‘No, no I can do it on my own, I’m doing it on my own’, because you just feel on your own that you can just do it better and quicker because you know the routine.”
She didn’t stop there – Katie gushed about Harvey’s astonishing progress over time, smashing expectations by mastering both speech and mobility. Feeling pumped, she told a podcast how chuffed she is about Harvey moving to a new permanent move nearby her pad on March 10 this year.
