Love Island fans were left in disbelief after a contestant caused chaos – but the singleton wasn’t always well received.
Yasmin Pettet entered the villa as a bombshell with her eyes set on breaking up a few couples. After coupling up with Shea and avoiding being dumped, she set her sights on Dejon Noel-Williams and, most recently, Harry Cooksley. After sneaking away in the hideaway and sharing a kiss with Harry tonight (June 19), viewers appeared to be delighted with her actions.
One viewer wrote on X: “Yasmin is an icon she has got onto Love Island with 500 instagram followers and has single handedly caused absolute chaos, I think I love her.” Another added: “Yasmin got these girls on ropes.”

However, the appreciation for Yasmin was not initially there. At her first appearance, a user noted: “Yasmin is scary, she even speaks like an AI bot.”
Another added: “Yasmin is very unlikeable BUT she’s good reality TV.”
Tensions have been rising in recent days, from new bombshells to brutal twists, with some couples questioning whether they have made the right decision. Following bombshell Harrison’s entrance, he coupled up with Toni, meaning Malisha was the latest star to say her goodbyes.
Tonight, during the Look Who’s Talking game at the firepit, Islanders drew cards with anonymous quotes, trying to pinpoint who said what. Shakira and Ben’s already strained partnership spiralled further as one comment was read out by Shea. He reads: “I don’t know if the conversation is stimulating for my brain, I’m quite a smart girl.”
Shakira owned up to the comment about Ben that she made to bombshell Harrison, intending to confront him later that night. And after explaining her reasoning, Ben disagreed.
His own words about Shakira were then aired by Yasmin, who quoted: “I don’t know where she’s at, I don’t know if she’s a respectful girl, I feel like she’s a very flirty girl that didn’t know her boundaries.”
Shakira replied: “Pipe down.”
Then, it was revealed that Harry kissed Yasmin three times. Helena, who is currently coupled up with Harry, stormed off.
