‘Paddy McGuinness called me on Babestation – but things took strange turn’

A Babestation model has spoken out for the first time about the time Paddy McGuinness and Robbie Williams gave her a call in the early hours of the morning

A Babestation model has spoken out about the time she answered a call from none other than Paddy McGuinness and Robbie Williams. Beth Bennett, 38, had a sneaky suspicion she was speaking to Mr ‘Angels’ himself but had no idea Paddy was also speaking to her until she searched his name on Google.

The dynamic duo were hanging out at Robbie’s home in West London when they decided to call up the racy channel. In a 2021 tell-all, Paddy spilled: “So there we were, the king of pop, chatting away to this girl on Babestation who was totally oblivious to who she was talking to.”

Now, speaking with the Mirror, New Zealand-born Beth, a Babestation favourite for over a decade, spoke out about what they really spoke about. She even joked the funnyman could drop her another line now he’s back on the singles scene after divorcing wife Christine McGuinness.

Beth revealed: “I will admit though, no idea who Paddy McGuinness was. Absolutely no clue and I’m still not that aware because I don’t watch a lot of television. I had to Google him, really sorry, but I very much encourage him to call again, for whichever path he wants to take – whether he wants to go the naughtier or nicer path we are definitely always open to hearing from him.”

Beth said Paddy, 51, opted for the “nicer” path on, where they discussed football, a conversation that she had to blag, before having debates about biscuits.

“It was a pretty long conversation from what I remember,” she said. “They [Babestation calls] all time out at about 18 minutes as an automatic thing and I want to say that it lasted all the way.

“The football chatter obviously went straight away. When people call and they are in a group at that time of night, I would have asked them what they had been up to that night but I don’t think they gave too much away on that. I think they said they had just been on a lad’s night out or something.”

She recalled the banter, which even touched on comedy films, saying: “I think those conversations are always the most fun, just joking and everything like that. I think if anything it is kind of a pre-cursor a lot of the time to a naughtier conversation and I think it is more comfortable if you can do that before you get into the sexy stuff.”

But, instead of turning steamy, the conversation swung wildly off course, especially with the mention of Jaffa Cakes.

Beth reminisced: “I can’t remember too much of what we discussed but we did the age old biscuit. There is a YouTube video where someone calls a girl on Babesation, and she is being very sexy, and he is just talking about biscuits, everyone calls up and does it, so I think they did that too.

“And we had the age-old discussion of is a Jaffa Cake a biscuit or a cake. And I want to say they named a really boring biscuit as their favourite like a custard cream or something like that but memory… it could have been a bourbon, who knows?

“I don’t think from memory they told me who they were which I think is pretty cool because obviously people like that don’t often get to stay anonymous and talk to women and stuff so I think it is quite neat and if anything I think it is better that way.”

After Paddy spilled the beans publicly, Beth’s friends sent her the stories asking if it was her, and she quickly twigged it was. As for whether it was surprising to have celebs ring her up – she reckons it’s more common than you’d think.
