Sir Rod Stewart was forced to cancel a number of performances earlier this month, just weeks before he’s due to take to the stage at Glastonbury for the Legends slot
Penny Lancaster attended the Royal Ascot with her son Alastair, following husband Rod Stewart’s recent ill health. Legendary singer Rod, 80, was forced to cancel a string of performances at the start of the month, just weeks before his headline slot at Glastonbury Festival.
In his place, son Alastair, 19, chucked on his finest suit and tie to accompany his mum Penny, 54, to the races. Loose Women star Penny looked stunning in a colourful, floral print dress.
With cap-sleeves, the dress allowed Penny to catch the roasting UK sun as it shone down over the Berkshire event. She kept on theme with her accessories, opting for a fuchsia hat, with some floral adornments on it.
She shared an image of herself on Instagram from the King’s Foundation. They revealed over the top that the hat was made by one of their students.
Then, showing her fun personality, she slung a bag over her shoulder that looked like a bumblebee.
It was striped black and yellow, and had black leather wings hanging from it.
With summer in full swing, Penny decided to elevate the look with some strappy gold sandal heels.
She also wore a select few items of jewellery, including a pendant necklace and an array of rings.
Her skin was glowing, with rosy red cheeks and her lashes fluttering with mascara.
Meanwhile, model son Alastair looked dapper in pin-striped grey trousers, a grey waistcoat and black tails.
He threw on a tall top hat, making it look like he was towering even more over his mum.
Alastair is one of Sir Rod’s eight children. His brother Aiden, 14, is also from Rod’s marriage to Penny.
Rod is also dad to Sarah Streeter, born 1964, who was raised by adoptive parents, Kimberly, 45, and Sean Stewart, 44, from his marriage to Alana Stewart, Ruby, 38, from his relationship with Kelly Emberg, and Renee, 33, and Liam, 30, from his marriage to Rachel Hunter.
