Victoria Beckham has received an outpouring of support from her showbiz pals amid her ongoing feud with daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz, who is married to her son Brooklyn
The ongoing feud between the Beckham and Peltz families continues to rumble on, with celebrities taking sides as the tension show no sign of stopping.
Among those expressing their support for Victoria and David Beckham is reality TV star Yolanda Hadid, amidst the Spice Girl’s family discord with eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife Nicola Peltz.
In recent times, fans have observed Brooklyn’s absence from family celebrations, including Victoria’s birthday, David’s landmark 50th birthday, and Father’s Day.
Just last week, football legend David was knighted in the King’s Birthday Honours List, and nearly all of his family, except Brooklyn, took to social media to express their pride in his remarkable accomplishment.
Victoria posted a heartfelt photo of herself planting a kiss on her husband David’s cheek. She captioned the post: ” You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham! ! ! What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you.”
Victoria went on to say: “Your dedication to the things that matter most – your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family – has never wavered.
“The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much.”
Her friends were quick to show their support, including Gigi and Bella Hadid’s mother, Yolanda, who left a red heart emoji in the comments section.
Rumours have been swirling that Yolanda had a tiff with Nicola when she was dating her son, Anwar, for more than a year, reports the Mirror.
The Sports Illustrated stunner apparently wasn’t chuffed about the age difference between Nicola, who was 22 at the time, and Anwar, who was just 18.
After they called it quits, Nicola hit the unfollow button on the whole Hadid clan on social media.
Nicola once gushed over Anwar in an interview, saying: “Honestly, he is an angel. He’s such an amazing person. He comes from such an amazing family. Gigi and Bella are so, so sweet. I just love his family so much. They’re feminine, strong girls. To have that around is amazing.”
Friends of Nicola have been quick to quash any talk of bad blood with the Hadids, claiming that giving them the digital cold shoulder is pretty standard post-breakup behaviour.
In other news, after Victoria Beckham posted a loving tribute to hubby David, celebs were queuing up to send their congrats. Richard E Grant threw out a bunch of clapping emojis, while Romeo Beckham chucked in a heart emoji and his own tribute.
Cruz Beckham wasn’t far behind, celebrating his dad on his page too.
Victoria’s BFF Eva Longoria joined in with a cheery “Congrats David! And Lady Victoria!” while Gary Neville and Helena Christensen sent love with heart emojis.
But it’s not all been smooth sailing for the Beckhams, as whispers suggest Nicola’s lot have thrown shade at them for being stingy.
Brooklyn, 26, has settled into a swanky £11 million Hollywood mansion, with whispers suggesting his billionaire heiress missus Nicola, 30, is the main owner of the posh digs.
Insiders have been buzzing that footie legend David and former Spice Girl Victoria reckon their eldest lad is “trapped” in the setup, including the whispered pre-nup Brooklyn and Nicola inked before tying the knot. Nicola’s tycoon father Nelson is rumoured to be sitting on a massive $1.6 billion fortune.
Chatter suggests that David and Victoria have kept a tight grip on the purse strings when it comes to their son, who’s dabbled in various gigs from photography to cooking.
“David and Victoria are two working-class kids done good, they have grafted hard for their money and understand that with privilege comes responsibility. On principle, they will not needlessly spoil their kids and have taught them the value of both industry and money,” an insider told The Sun.
The same source said that Nelson and Nicola’s mum, Claudia, dote on their daughter no end. The insider added: “They expected the Beckhams, worth half a billion themselves, might match them penny for penny. Or, at least, chip in with financials as and when.”
A source alleged: “That hasn’t always happened, so they are annoyed and telling people it’s a bit tight, which would utterly enrage David and Vic if they knew.”
However, another insider dismissed the Beckham-related claim as “nonsense”.
Following speculation that Brooklyn was “trapped”, a source close to him hit back at the ‘cruel narrative’. Speaking to The Mirror, they said: “It’s disappointing-and frankly absurd-that anyone would try to twist Nicola and Brooklyn’s marriage, and this meaningful milestone of home ownership, into something toxic.
“Their relationship is built on love, respect, and commitment. The suggestion that Brooklyn is ‘trapped’ isn’t just false-it’s a deliberately cruel and baseless narrative aimed at undermining a strong, loving marriage.”
