EastEnders' Linda Carter and teacher Isaac 'set to have an affair'

EastEnders fans have predicted that Linda Carter will have an affair with Isaac Baptiste in coming episodes.

The pair have developed a close bond as friends while the school teacher helps Linda stand up to parents who have been making fun of her over her drinking problem.

And it’s left some viewers predicting that this could be the start of a romance between the two.

In last night’s episode, Linda and Isaac, who is a newcomer, were sat in the Queen Vic having a chat when a group of parents from Walford Primary showed up.

The parents, who were led by Shelley, were previously bullying Linda and giving her grief over her being an alcoholic prior to the boat party disaster.

The day after the boat party drama, which was filmed in honour of the BBC soap’s 35th anniversary and saw Denny die, caused Linda to gain the motivation to start the journey of being a recovering alcoholic.

The group came to the pub with the purpose to confront Linda after they accused Isaac of giving Linda “preferential treatment”.

They also argued that they didn’t want “someone with a drinking problem” to read to their kids, as Linda often goes in to help read to the youngsters.

But in true Linda fashion she went back at them and ordered them not to take it out on the teacher and claimed that Shelley is “desperate for a bit of drama in her boring, little life”.

It prompted a wry smile from Isaac which led some fans to thinking that an affair could spark up between Linda and Isaac.

One fan tweeted: “Only Mick is leaving, right? Are we building up to Isaac/Linda? #EastEnders.”

A second wrote: “EastEnders Aw… It was nice to see Isaac stand up for Linda.”

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One
