ITV’s The Chase was back tonight, with chaser The Vixen in the hot-seat.
The first contestant to take on the red-headed quizzer was Murdo.
After having an impressive cash-builder round, host Bradley Walsh decided to find out more about his first quizzing hopeful.
He asked Murdo what he did for a living, and he revealed that he works as a “chicken sexer”.
Going into further detail, Murdo reveals it’s his job to decide whether a chick is male or female.
Murdo then divulged that he gets through checking “3,000 chicks an hour,” leaving Bradley stunned.
The Chase viewers were equally shocked at Murdo’s unusual job role and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One social networker remarked: “Would you admit to being a chicken sexer? haha.”
While another continued: “It’s easier lying about your job than owning up to being a chicken sexer.”
A third added: “Chicken sexer. Not sure if it beats ‘gap year volunteer’ though, but it’s close.”
And a fourth commented: “Did this bloke just say he’s a chicken sexer?”
Unfortunately for Murdo, he was unsuccessful in his head-to-head battle with the chaser.
This meant his accumulated £7,000 was not added to the prize pot.
Up next was Renee, however after a disappointing cash-builder round, Renee decided to take the low offer, which was a £0.
Renee brought the zero money back, meaning the pressure was on remaining contestants Don and Annette to bring home the bacon.
Equaling Murdo’s cash-builder efforts, Don was next to take on The Vixen, and he decided to take the middle offer of £7,000.
He admitted he was extremely tempted to take the big offer but knew his new wife would not be impressed.
