Britney Spears ‘ father Jamie Spears has hit out at a growing movement by the Work Bitch singer’s fans called Free Britney – branding supporters of the movement “conspiracy theorists”.
The movement argues that Britney Spears, 38, should no longer be in a court imposed conservatorship.
She was placed into the legal bind over a decade ago after Jamie sought help from the courts following her infamous breakdown in 2007.
It was said to be temporary but it is currently still in place more than a decade later.
Until last year, Jamie, 68, was her named legal guardian.
Speaking to New York post about those who believe the conservatorship is being abused by those who control it, Jamie sad: “All these conspiracy theorists don’t know anything.

“The world don’t have a clue.
“It’s up to the court of California to decide what’s best for my daughter. It’s no one else’s business.”
Under terms of the conservatorship, Britney’s personal and financial life is controlled by the conservators.
In September 2019, Jamie was removed as Britney’s guardian due to health reasons after asking the courts to do so.

Her care manager, Jodi Pais Montgomery, is now her conservator.
A court date is set for August 22 which will re-evaluate the situation and decide if it should still be in place.
Slamming claims he’s used the conservatorship to make money from Britney’s estate, Jamie hit out: “I have to report every nickel and dime spent to the court every year.
“How the hell would I steal something?
“I love my daughter. I love all my kids. But this is our business. It’s private.”
The Free Britney movement hit the mainstream after singers Miley Cyrus and Cher appeared to give it their support.
During a concert in Memphis, Miley performed her single Party in the USA, in which there is a line about Britney.
As she performed, Miley shouted “Free Britney” to the audience.
Then in January music icon Cher tweeted about the movement, telling fans it was “possible”.

She added: “Just enough meds to keep her working, but not enough to have a life.”
However, an insider has told Mail Online that while Jamie is “not perfect”, he “really stepped up for Britney”.
The source said: “It’s not at all a conservatorship like you read about for old people.
“It protects her in a way people like Michael Jackson weren’t protected, from themselves and from other people.
“She’s been able to perform all this time because performing is where she is happiest.
“When she’s left to her own devices is where the trouble starts. She does have some serious issues.”
