The Chase host Bradley Walsh hits out at The Beast after savage contestant jibe

The Chase host Bradley Walsh hit out at chaser Mark Labbett during Monday’s edition of the show.

Bradley, 60, rushed to defend contestant Louise after Mark, who goes by the name of The Beast, took a cutting swipe at her.

After Louise finished her round, Mark mocked her for “walking away” from the podium empty-handed.

Taking on The Beast as player three, Louise was keen to try and win as much money for her team as possible.

After two contestants made it home with cash, the hopeful was determined to continue the winning streak.

Chatting before the quick-fire round, Louise explained she hoped to win enough money to jet off to Australia and marry her fiancé who was born there.

Opening up about her family, Louise gushed over her daughter Sadie.

Sensing a weakness, The Beast cuttingly jibed: “Little baby Sadie must be walking by now.

“In a minute, so will you be.”

Looking unimpressed by the comment, Bradley quickly interrupted: “Unnecessary!”

Despite the dig, Louise kept her nerve and managed to make it back to her team.

Sadly, fourth contestant Mel was unable to make it a full-house and was given her marching orders after being caught.

While the three contestants clocked up an impressive 18 points in the final chase. they were no match for The Beast.

The savage quiz master managed to catch them, meaning they lost out on their £45,000 prize pot.
