Election actress Jessica Campbell has unexpectedly died aged 38.
The television star, known for playing Tammy Metzler in the film, died suddenly last month, TMZ reports.
The star passed away in Portland on December 29 2020, according to her family.
Jessica, who was a naturopathic physician after she stopped acting, had returned home to visit her mother and aunt.
Jessica’s cousin Sarah Wessling told the publication that her family had found her collapsed on the floor after she went to the bathroom and didn’t return.
The family reportedly said that Jessica had been complaining of congestion and thought she was getting a cold.

They didn’t think she had Covid-19. It’s been said that autopsy results are expected soon.
Jessica starred in Election, released oil 1999, alongside Reese Witherspoon, Matthew Broderick and Chris Klein.
She played Klein’s younger sister in the film, with her performance earning her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance.
She went on to guest-star on the popular television series Freaks and Geeks.

Jessica also starred in The Safety of Objects and Junk before she decided to leave behind the world of acting and focus on a new career.
Since her tragic death, a GoFundMe page has been created her help with expenses and to provide for Jessica’s 10-year-old son, Oliver.
Judd Apatow, the executive producer of Freaks and Geeks, has donated $5,000.
Her family said that Jessica has been cremated and they are in the process of planning a memorial for her.
