Tom Cruise and his team have reportedly halted Mission Impossible filming as the cast and crew ‘refused to work any longer’ amid the ongoing pandemic.
Filming the hit movie during a pandemic has proven to be an impossible task after the cast and crew flew to the United Arab Emirates to film the latest run of scenes.
According to The Sun, production has now been cancelled due to unhappy staff.
It’s been reported that crew members wanted to fly back to the UK this weekend before hotel quarantine rules come into effect on Monday.
An insider reportedly told the publication: “The whole production has hit yet another issue and there have been revolts among the cast and crew.

“For quite a few of them, the prospect of having to quarantine in a hotel back in the UK is a step too far and they’ve demanded to be flown home before the rules change. The studio has had to fund a jet back and the missing cast and crew will inevitably cause another delay.
“It was hoped that filming in the UAE would provide some flexibility but that changed when the UK shut its borders.
“Morale is really down and many of the younger staff who aren’t earning the big bucks just don’t feel it’s worth it any more.”

Daily Star has contacted Cruise’s representatives for comment.
Several weeks ago, Mission Impossible Seven’s Senior Assistant Set Decorator Sandro Piccarozzi hinted Abu Dhabi would feature in the latest movie by hashtagging pictures of the location with, “#missionimpossible7.”
The hit movie’s release has been delayed due to the ongoing pandemic and filming is now set to resume in the UK.
Cruise’s movie was initially set to be released in August, but the film’s latest release date is now November 19.

Last month, Tom Cruise was reportedly branded a ‘nightmare’ by Mission Impossible crew due to his relentless determination to finish filming the blockbuster hit.
A source told The Sun that the new travel ban meant many staff working on the movie were concerned they wouldn’t be able to get back home for months.
They told the publication: “Now many of the production team – especially the more junior staff who aren’t on big salaries – are up in arms and just want to go home”.
One crew member claimed: “It feels like everything is against us at the moment.
“A lot of us would love to cut our losses and leave things for a while, then pick up when we can.”
Speaking about Tom, they added the actor and director is now “completely obsessed with finishing”.
They told the publication: “He’s the most determined person. It’s impressive, but a nightmare.”
