Dancing on Ice viewers left distracted by ITV show's 'off putting' sound effects

Dancing On Ice viewers were distracted as the ITV show seemingly used new sound effects in their first show back.

The programme was forced to cancel its live show last weekend, and this week viewers noticed the pre-recorded audience sounds used while the celebrities performed.

One said: “That clapping is really off-putting and I’m not even skating! No real audience would clap the whole way through”.

While another wrote: “Calm the crowd noise down Dancing On Ice”.

“Turn down the audience ‘clapping’ Dancing On Ice”, penned a third.

Another moaned: “Please stop the fake audience noises. It’s making my teeth grind.”

“Can the audience please stop screeching after every move?”, typed a fifth.

Later in the episode, Holly Willoughby was left screaming when a huge fake dinosaur invaded the set.

Lady Leshurr and her professional partner Brendyn Hadfield were skating to the theme of Jurassic Park, featuring the amazing creatures.

However, Holly ran for her life while introducing their routine as the huge dinosaur gave her a fright.

She exclaimed to her co-star Phillip Schofield: “Why does it like you?”

“I’m Dr Dolittle”, Phillip laughed while stroking the dinosaur.

Rebekah Vardy the next celebrity to be sent home from Dancing on Ice as she performed for the final time.

Vardy and her professional partner Andy Buchanan were in the skate-off against rapper Lady Leshurr and her skating partner Brendyn Hadfield.

Despite her best efforts, the judges decided to send Rebekah home.

ITV has now confirmed that the DOI final will now move forward by one week, with the celebrities battling it out for the title on March 14 instead.

A spokesperson from ITV said in a statement: “ITV have taken the decision to move the final of Dancing on Ice forward by one week. The competition’s final will now take place on Sunday 14th March.

“Our production team and cast have delivered a fantastic show during incredibly challenging times.

“Continuing to make the best TV for our viewers is our top priority and we look forward to the rest of the series, on air from this Sunday at 6pm.”

Last week’s episode was cancelled as show bosses decided to put the programme on a brief hiatus.

Instead of the live show, a rundown of the show’s biggest ever moments was aired.

Dancing on Ice continues next Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
