It’s certainly no secret that Piers Morgan isn’t a fan of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the controversial journalist regularly slams the royal couple on television and in his articles.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter has been branded “obsessed” with Meghan and Harry by his ITV co-star Susanna Reid.
He’s also been branded one of Meghan Markle’s “biggest trolls” on social media.
During an episode of GMB, Piers had said the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey will be a ‘whine-athon’ and that he found the advert for the programme “utterly nauseating”.

“You’re obsessed with them.”

Journalist Ayesha Hazarika recently claimed Piers Morgan is Meghan Markle’s ‘biggest troll’ as he continues to slam her on social media.
When speaking about the bullying claims Meghan received from former Buckingham Palace staff, Ayesha said: “No one has any sympathy for her and no offence to your colleague who is not here, Piers Morgan, but he’s one of the biggest trolls against her… she’s literally responsible for everything.”
So when did Piers’ problem with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex first began and how long have they been feuding for?
Morgan’s feud with Meghan and Harry stems back back to 2015, when the opinionated presenter claims Markle ‘ghosted’ him.
At the time, the pair seemed friendly with one another and followed each other on Twitter.

Piers said their friendship began over his interest in Meghan’s work at the time as she was an actress in US drama, Suits.
He said: “She even started sending me early preview episodes of her show so we could debate juicy storylines yet to air – which we did, at length.”
In 2016, Piers and Meghan met for some drinks in London at the former Britain’s Got Talent host’s favourite pub while Markle was in the UK.
However, Morgan claims that he never heard from her again afterwards.
He said: “She met Prince Harry at the dinner that night, went on a solo date with him the next night, and I never heard from her again. Not a word. I’d been ghosted.”

In December that year, Piers wrote about Harry and Meghan’s courtship after they were pictured together for the first time.
When engagement rumours arose, Piers encouraged Prince Harry to “bring it on” as he believed Meghan was “perfect princess material” and that the country needed “a royal wedding to take the edge off these tumultuous times.”
In the lead up to Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding in 2018, Piers wrote with Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, who would not be invited to the wedding.

After the wedding, Piers penned a warning to the Duchess of Sussex as he said: “If you thought being a royal girlfriend was difficult, just wait until you see how hard it is being a royal wife”.
Also in 2018, he claimed the Duchess was hypocritical as he said: “She prides herself on charity work, yet seems to have forgotten that old truism: charity begins at home”, when speaking about her sick father.
By December, Piers had become hugely critical of Meghan and he wrote savagely: “Meghan Markle is a ruthless social climbing actress who has landed the role of her life and is determined to milk it for all she can – and that’s why the Palace is beginning to turn on her.”

Since then, Piers has regularly slammed and criticised Meghan and Prince Harry too.
Last year, Morgan poured even more fuel onto his fiery spat with Meghan after he revealed what he’d say to her if he ever saw her in person again.
In an interview with OK! magazine, the outspoken TV host said: “I’d say, “How are you, then did your messages get lost in the post?”. She won’t have given me in a moments thought in the rear-view mirror!”
He added: “In my opinion she’s one of the most ruthless social climbers I’ve ever seen in my entire life. She’s even prepared to disown her own father it’s quite extraordinary.”
The feud has remained one sided as Meghan and Harry have never spoken out about Piers’ savage take-downs.
It seems they will finally speak out in their hugely anticipated tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
