Bindi Irwin has given birth to an adorable baby girl sharing the joyful news with her army of animal loving followers.
The 22-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin welcomed her first child on Thursday with husband Chandler Powell and the pair look utterly smitten.
Bursting with pride, Bindi and Chandler both beamed huge smiles as they shared their happy news with the world.
Sharing a snap of the new parents proudly cradling their bundle of joy, Bindi penned to her 4.5 million followers: “March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life.
“Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter.
“Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s.
“Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior.
“Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.”
She continued: “There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl.
“She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.”
After much speculation that she and Chandler were planning to start a family, Bindi announced her pregnancy last year alongside her supportive mum Terri Irwin.
Not long before Bindi’s due date, Terri became emotional speaking about the special moment Bindi and Chandler first aired her pregnancy.
Speaking in an interview on Channel Seven’s Sunrise, the 56-year-old widow explained how overwhelmed her daughter and son-in-law had been when breaking the news,
The segment was shared on Australia Zoo’s annual crocodile research trip and the intimate moment was also filmed for their TV show, Crikey! It’s the Irwins.
Terri said: “We were all out in the bush and had been jumping on crocs and attaching trackers all day.
“We were all sitting around the campfire and she[Bindi] just says ‘by the way…'”
Recalling the sweet moment, she went on: “We all picked names and laughed and cried and it has been so special and she is due next month”.
More recently, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bindi addressed ways for her baby to be introduced to her father Steve.
Bindi said: “I don’t think we would’ve ever seen our daughter.
“He would’ve just whisked her away into the zoo and it would’ve been perfect.
“But it is so nice that we’ll be able to introduce her to her grandfather through all of the documentaries. It’s really special.”
