Many fans are still convinced that Shannon will return for Casa Amor, but her return to the UK may have put some of those dreams to bed.

Shannon left the villa on Wednesday night in a shocking twist, making her the islander to have spent the shortest time in the villa ever.

Speaking of her exit, she admitted she would return to the show, adding that she was “grateful for the opportunity”.

The beauty added: “I am a bit gutted. Do you know what, out of all the girls, I think it is fair it’s me because I didn’t have any emotional attachments to the guys, but all the girls had tiny little things.”

Shannon encouraged people to “be kind” as she shared her Instagram photo, which comes after Chloe Burrows’ family revealed that she had been receiving death threats following Shannon’s brutal dumping.

After her family released their statement confirming that they had been inundated with horrific messages, Love Island urged people against sharing hateful comments towards any of the islanders.

The statement read: “We want Love Island to be a positive experience for all our cast and their friends and family members.

“Last night’s episode created strong reactions but some viewers’ were wholly unacceptable. We take these matters extremely seriously and will support casts members and their families in reporting such posts.

“We would once again urge all our viewers to think before posting, and remember that our Islanders are people with feelings.”

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
