Gary Barlow in awkward Twitter blunder as hacker appears to take over account

Former X Factor judge Gary Barlow appears to have been targeted by a hacker as a series of tweets appeared on his profile.

Just after 2:15pm this afternoon multiple tweets came from Gary’s account as multiple people shared their concerns to Twitter that the singer had been hacked.

One of the tweets read: “Die a real slow and painful death you cross eyed fat f**k.”

Another said: “No talent c**t.”

A third tweet read: “Die die die cross eyes.”

Followers were immediately responding as others were retweeting, liking and quote tweeting the series of comments.

Twitter Support were getting tagged by various people to warn them that the account had been hacked and minutes later the tweets were removed.

Gary appears to have been hacked on Twitter after a series of now-deleted tweets

In an Instagram video, Gary did a screen recording, which he shared to his profile as he removed the Twitter app from his phone half an hour after the hack.

The tweets came after the singer posted a photo of him with Take That member Jason Orange as he wished him a happy birthday.

It is not the first time that Gary has been the victim of a Twitter hack with various abusive messages after he was hacked again in 2017.

Instead of responding to the hacker, Gary chose to delete his profile

The tweet at the time read: “Die Barlow you c***. A slow and f***ing painful death.”

Shortly after the incident, he tweeted: “Drama over. Password changed. Let’s face it, we’ve seen worse!”

He hasn’t made a reference to changing his password on this occasion, instead he has chosen to simply remove Twitter from his phone.

It appears he has been hacked quite a few times in the past, with a similar Twitter storm taking place in 2014 with a similar string tweets.

Despite the unplanned hack it appears that Gary is allowing it to blow over as he plans for his upcoming tour.

The singer took to Instagram to ask what outfits fans would like to see on the tour, while also sharing some behind the scenes clips of him in the sound room.

Gary will be kicking off his tour in September in Kingston Upon Thames and travelling to various places across the UK.
