Love Island cast plan matching tattoos after show with Abi doing the inking

Love Island star Dale Mehmet has revealed that he and his co-stars are planning to get matching tattoos.

The barber shop owner was brutally evicted from the villa on Monday night’s episode along with tattoo artist Abigail Rawlings.

Laura Whitmore entered the villa on Sunday night’s episode announcing that there was to be a shock dumping and that it would be the end of the road for two contestants.

After confirming that Jake Cornish, Kaz Kamwi, Abigail Rawlings, Tyler Cruickshank, Mary Bedford and Dale Mehmet had all received the lowest votes, it was down to the other islanders to decide their fate.

The girls decided to say goodbye to Dale and the boys opted to send Abigail home.

After the pair exited the villa, they were asked for their views on leaving.

During that discussion, Dale, who has many inkings over his body, was asked if he’d be getting any more.

Letting the cat out of the bag, he explained: “We did say about a group Love Island tattoo.

“Abi can do them!”

Before Dale’s exit, he had been coupled up with Mary who also found herself in the bottom six.

Fortunately, Mary was saved from eviction by her male co-stars.

However, she didn’t seem to be too down in the dumps that her man was leaving and later explained to the girls that there had been “something missing” for her romance with Dale.

Speaking about his connection with Mary, Dale said: “If you looked at my type on paper, it would be Mary. We had a lot in common. I feel like I’ll see her around.

“She’s a nice girl, gorgeous girl and I hope the best for her.”

But, he revealed it was Faye Winter who had actually caught his eye in the villa but the barber didn’t act on his feelings out of respect for Teddy Soares.

Dale explained: “I can’t look at Faye and not smile. Genuinely she’s an amazing person. I came away from this experience and she’s the person that I had the strongest connection with.”

He added: “She was definitely someone I found attractive, I love her personality. She was a real good friend, stunning person, she’s a really good, good girl. But I’m a boys’ boy and Teddy was one of my boys. So I could never do that, as much as I found her attractive and I like her personality.

“I’ll slide into her DMs to say hi. It’s not going to be, ‘Let’s go on a date’. She’s a good girl and Teddy’s a good boy. For me personally, on a romantic level, I couldn’t.”

Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2
