Walk The Line fans brand show 'fake' saying it's a 'fix' with pre-planned winner

ITV viewers have slammed Walk The Line after claiming it has been a “fixed” competition and is merely a publicity stunt for one of the contestants.

Budding singer Ella has won the last three rounds, with viewers at home finding this a little fishy, as they state there has been better talent taking the mic.

On Tuesday night, Ella won for the third night in a row and decided to risk it all in the chance of going through to the next round.

After it was revealed Ella had taken the top spot again, fans of the show stormed social media to share their thoughts on the result.

One said: “Ella shouldn’t have won that line walk. F*** that show, f*** fixed shows in general and f*** Simon Cowell.”

A second put: “Said I wasn’t going to watch Walk The Line . Obviously fixed, Darby should have won last night, let’s see what happens to @raynesmusic obviously the best act by far tonight. Ella has a good voice but a bit obvious nothing new or original IMO.”

While a third penned: “I feel like she’s already got a contract and they’re building a show around her.”

A fourth added: “It’s becoming more apparent that the girl that keeps getting through is fake. This is a set up. Let me guess she has another Adele impersonation.”

A fifth tweeted: “You could put Adele or Ed Sheeran on this and Ella would still win. Whole thing’s rigged for her to win the £500k.”

And a sixth typed: “Still don’t buy this is a genuine competition, feels all too conveniently set up for Ella to get through the week to prove the idea works and Simon hasn’t just backed a dud of a show .”

This comes after Walk the Line judge Dawn French branded host Maya Jama “rude” for saying she’s “not a singer”.

Maya Jama is the host of Simon Cowell’s brand new show and bantered with Dawn, who joins judges Gary Barlow, Craig David and Alesha Dixon.

Dawn immediately responded: “That’s rude! Excuse me Maya, may I correct you a moment? I’ve had a very illustrious career in singing, roll VT!”

The VT showed Dawn in multiple singing skits, much to the audience’s enjoyment.

Maya added: “I mean I take back everything I said. That proves your place on the panel perfectly.”
