BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty revealed she was “feeling good” after going on her first run post-injury.
The TV presenter has suffered a number of sports-related injuries over the years and often shares updates with her Instagram followers.
Last year, Naga admitted she’d been recovering from Achilles Tendonitis which stopped her from being able to run.
On Sunday (April 24), Naga uploaded a sweaty post-run selfie to her Instagram to share the good news with fans.
She captioned the post: “It’s been a while since I’ve been able to run 5k non-stop. Injuries take time to recover from. Patience isn’t a virtue of mine. Feels good to get back on the road to fitness. Happy Sunday x”
Fans flocked to the comment section to show their support for the star.
One wrote: “Well done!! It’s great to see you back running again Naga!! Happy Sunday my lovely”
A second added: “Amazing. Celebrating the same today! First 5k after pneumonia. Feels good to be back x”
While a third penned: “Well done and don’t talk to me about leg injuries. Good to be back and keep going.”
A fourth shared: “Well done Naga. You look gorgeous. I was running 5km consistently for a year and ‘overdid’ it last July. Couldn’t run without the old injury returning but I managed 30 minutes on a treadmill last week (only amounted to 3.5km but its a slow start). It’s funny how you miss it. Keep up the good work”
A fifth put: “Glad your back running again Naga..you always keep yourself so fit”
“Nice one, I’m back at it tomorrow after 8 weeks off with a smashed in knee and infection. Im going to be blowing out of my ar$e and im dreading it,” another said.
In other BBC Breakfast news, Dan Walker shared what he’ll miss the most when he leaves the show later this year.
The presenter will be replacing Sian Williams as the news anchor on Channel 5.
In a question and answer session with his Instagram followers and was recently asked: “What will you miss most about BBC Breakfast when you leave?”
To which he replied: “That’s an easy one… the people (both on and off-screen)”
