Lord Alan Sugar slips down Rich List as his net worth crashes by £112 million

Sir Alan Sugar has fallen down the Sunday Times Rich List after losing a reported £100 million.

The business tycoon is known for his role as the cut-throat “Boss” in BBC’s The Apprentice, which has been on air since 2005.

Lord Sugar started electronics company Amstrad in 1968 and made his fortune from then on.

It was reported by the Sunday Times Rich List that he became a billionaire in 2015.

However, despite his recent £100 million loss, he is still worth over a billion pounds and is now ranked at number 166 on the list with a worth of £1.088 billion.

In the top spot sits Sri and Gopi Hinduja and family at £28.472 billion.

This comes just days after the government warned the public of tough times ahead and the cost of living crisis grows ever larger.

Rishi is a former hedge fund manager and his wife is an heiress, with their total worth placing them comfortably in the 222nd spot on the list.

Sunak is the first frontline politician to be named on the list, which is released annually, since the tradition first began in 1989.
