Kim Woodburn rose to fame in the UK for her cleaning skills in How Clean Is Your House, which ran from 2003 to 2009.
Since then, she continues to stay relevant through numerous appearances in reality TV and daytime TV appearances.
Her career didn’t start on the small screen though, as she was originally a model living in Liverpool.
The 80-year-old star is now appearing in Channel 4’s Celeb Cooking Show, which descended into chaos in the latest episode.
Not only was most of the food dreadful, but top chef Giorgio Locatelli was forced to bat off advances from Kim throughout the episode.
She has never been one to hold back and she has a unique career in television to prove it.
Who is Kim Woodburn?
Kim, born Patrica Mary Woodburn, found fame through her show How Clean Is Your House, earning her the nickname the Queen of Clean.
The TV personality was 61 when the show skyrocketed in popularity.
The star has been married to Peter Woodburn since 1979, after a previously marriage to a policeman in the early 70s.
She fought her way into showbiz, having started her career as a social worker.
Kim also worked in retail, along with modelling.
In 2009, she made an appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and achieved second place for the season.
She even made an appearance on the last season of Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, before it was confirmed to be returning on ITV.
Kim Woodburn’s childhood
Kim had a difficult childhood as she claimed she was neglected and beaten by her parents throughout her formative years.
She wrote about these abhorrent times in her 2006 autobiography Unbeaten: The Story of My Brutal Childhood.
This book even led to the police visiting her home to discuss the allegations inside.
In it, she revealed that at the age of 23, Kim went into labour three months too early and delivered a stillborn baby.
She was unmarried at the time and was overcome with fear over how her parents would react to the news.
It led her to burying the child’s body in a park back in 1966, a night she later called “the worst of her life”.
In 2018, she opened up about it on Loose Women to the shock of her hosts.
She said: “I had never felt more wretched. I still talk to my son now. The deep sadness doesn’t go away.”
“Being an unmarried mother years ago was terribly shameful, Kim continued. Adding: “You were a whore and a man would only marry a virgin.
“It was a very sad part of my life. I would never go back to visit the spot where it happened. That would just be too much. I couldn’t do it.”
