The Survivor contestant Roger Sexton passed away at the age of 76 after a difficult battle with dementia.
The former marine appeared in the sixth series of the hugely popular reality show back in 2002 which was filmed in Brazil close tot he Amazon River.
Sexton lasted 21 days during his time on the reality show with, with the star finishing 10th out of 16 contestants on the show.

He was eventually voted off the programme after his fellow campmates decided to oust him for forbidding the women to help build a shelter on the show.
His loving family have since shared a joint statement on social media confirming that the reality TV star passed away at his daughter’s home on October 26.
Roger had sadly passed away after his battle with Lewy Body dementia – one of the most common forms of the destructive disease.
According to the NHS, the common symptoms of Lewy Body dementia include hallucinations, problems with understanding, thinking, and memory, confusion or sleepiness, slow movement, disturbed sleep and fainting spells.
In a statement posted on Sexton’s obituary, they wrote: “Surrounded by his loving family and the caring assistance of Walla Walla Hospice, Roger was finally able to fine peace. “
According to his obituary, Sexton was born in the heart of Oakland, California, and grew up in the Bay Area before he enlisted in the marines and serving in Vietnam for one year.
The star’s daughter sadly died at the age of just 16 years old in 1992 after contracting viral pneumonia.
Sexton is survived by his wife Diane, his daughter Amy and her husband Brian Evensen, and his grandchildren Drew and Hadley Evensen.
Tributes have since been pouring in for the reality star after the tragic news was announced, with one Survivor fan writing: “Just found out that Roger Sexton passed away after a battle with dementia.
“Though I hardly agreed on any of his views, he was a unique character and an essential part of one of my favourite #Survivor seasons. Rest In Peace.”
Another added: “We are very saddened to hear the news about the passing of Roger Sexton from Survivor: Amazon. May he rest in eternal peace.”
