Did you know that some seemingly innocent Christmas songs have some very hidden erotic meanings?
When December looms, there are those festive songs we sing every year with family, friends and loved ones.
Santa Baby, Santa Tell Me and Baby, It’s Cold Outside – among so many others – are classic Christmas songs we all croon to when the festive season rolls around.

Scroll on to discover some of the most seemingly innocent Christmas songs with much dirtier undertones…
And try not to squirm and laugh when you sing along to them with family members before your roast turkey meal.
Santa Baby
This 1950s classic was originally performed by Eartha Kitt, but in recent years the likes of Kylie Minogue and Michael Bublé are known for crooning the track.
Santa Baby is epitome of getting sexual with Santa and even features some very raunchy lines and innuendos.
One of the most raunchy lines from the song is: “Come and trim my Christmas tree” – but there are quite a few that will leave you feeling hot under the collar.
“Think of all the fun I’ve missed, think of all the fellas that I haven’t kissed,” is another.
Not forgetting the very first verse, which could probably have more than one meaning if you wanted it to: “Santa baby, just slip a Sable under the tree for me // Been an awful good girl // Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.”
Santa Tell Me
Okay, so this song isn’t overtly sexual and seems pretty PG – but if you stumble across the “dirty version” you’ll think otherwise.
In the dirty version of the track, Ariana gets a little frisky when she sings about “getting on top of him” by the fireplace.
In the bridge towards the end she sings: “Oh, I wanna let him unwrap me, like oh-woo-oh // Get on top of him, by that fireplace, oh-woo-oh” which is sure to set the sexy mood this Christmas.
Baby, It’s Cold Outside
This song is riddled with controversy, but it’s still a complete Christmas classic.
Although it’s quite PG, this song has some very sexual (and worrying) undertones to it.
It is usually performed with a woman singing the “mouse” part and a man singing the “wolf” part and was originally performed in the 1949 film Neptune’s Daughter by Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalbán.
“I simply must go // Baby it’s cold outside // The answer is no,” are some of the lyrics that have recently sparked a debate around consent.
Other sexual lyrics go like: “My sister will be suspicious // Gosh your lips look delicious!”
Many of you will probably remember Tom Jones’ rendition of this track where he sings alongside Cerys Matthews – who is locked in a cage.
In the raunchy music video Tom has locked up Cerys and the pair sing the raunchy track in a very fiery setting.
Another thing – on Google it states that the genres for this track are “Children’s Music, Pop”… slightly odd if you ask us.
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
This song is a classic cutesy track that seems very mellow and sweet.
So many stars have sung this song – from The Jackson 5 to Jessica Simpson.
Although the stand-out line from the song is probably: “If daddy had only seen // Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night.”
As well as: “I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus (kissing, kissing Santa Claus) // Underneath the mistletoe last night.”
There is a far raunchier line that goes: “Then I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus (tickle, tickle, Santa Claus) // Underneath his beard so snowy white.”
Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin’
Although none of the songs – apart from Ariana’s – explicitly references getting sexy, Albert King really is singing about Santa having sex with your mum.
The raunchy lyrics go: “Now Mama’s in the kitchen cookin’ // And the children are fast asleep // It’s time for old Santa Claus // To make his midnight creep ’cause // Santa Claus wants some lovin’.”
Another truly odd line from the song goes: “But right now Mama it’s Christmas Eve // Come make your Papa happy please.”
Not only did Albert King sing this song in 1974, but Bill Murray and George Clooney covered this raunchy track for A Very Murray Christmas in 2015.
