Jonnie Irwin had fans rallying round after he posted a rare video on social media – with plenty gushing over how “amazing” he looked.
The A Place In The Sun star, 49, was given just six months to live in 2020 when he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.
The cancer then spread to his brain, and almost two and a half years later he publicly shared his diagnosis in December.

Since then, and after being told that he could only have “months to live”, Jonnie has been making as many memories as he can with wife Jessica Holmes, and their children, Rex, four, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.
And on Thursday (July 6) Jonnie took to his Instagram to share a new partner video he has made about Mayfair Worktops.
In the video Jonnie shared his opinion on kitchen upgrades – and it’s fair to say fans were over the moon to see how well he was looking.
Rushing to the comments section, one loyal follower said: “You’re looking great Jonnie!”
Another added: “Total professional but with a charming approach to presenting with humour added. You are my all time favourite, Jonnie! Love to you and your family.”
A third agreed and penned: “I’d say you’re my favourite presenter actually Jonnie! You have a very genuine way with you…”
Someone else chimed in to gush: “Never mind the work tops you look amazing and sounding perfect good for you jonnie keep ongoing loads of love to you and your gorgeous family.”
It comes after Jonnie opened up about a big regret amid his terminal cancer fight, saying he wants people to learn from his “mistake”.
Speaking on AIG Life’s The OneChat podcast, Jonnie said he wanted to leave a “positive footprint” in the world as he talked about what he wished he’d done differently.
“I want people to learn from my mistake,” he said.
“I didn’t take critical illness insurance out and therefore I had to keep working. Without work, I’ve got no means of paying the bills.”
He added: “And if I had taken the critical illness insurance out, that could’ve covered my outgoings and I probably could have come out and told the world a lot sooner.”
“I could have had two years of living a more open lifestyle,” added the 49-year-old.
“And I want people to learn from that mistake.”
Jonnie said to be able to concentrate on family and friends and the “battle” is “the most important thing” and that because he didn’t have that cover he hadn’t been able to do that.
