Love Island fans are slamming the new ITV2 show’s spin-off announcement citing a “major issue” with the series.
Host Maya Jama, 29, took to social media to announce she will be fronting the new show, dubbed, Love Island Games, in Fiji, with the set to premiere exclusively on Peacock beginning Wednesday, November 1.
Comedian Iain Stirling will return as narrator in this brand-new Love Island format which will bring together fan-favorite Islanders from various Love Island series across the globe – USA, UK, Australia and beyond – for a second shot at love as they compete in a brand-new format.

But as fans began stirring up excitement for the new show, many were slamming the show’s chosen streaming service, Peacock, which many say they’ve “never heard of” and don’t want to pay for.
“I’m sorry idc how much it costs or not why should we have to pay for yet another streaming service to watch this show? The entire fanbase is from ITV so why not work out a deal that doesn’t require ppl to do this?” blasted one fan.
“I don’t think it’ll be big here at all unless it airs on ITV too because no one has Peacock really in the uk,” said another.
While a third blasted: “I wanna watch my girl Maya but I really don’t want to be forced to sign up for another streaming service to do it. Annoying.”
Love Island legend Kady McDermott accidentally shared the filming start date for Love Island Games recently and it’s actually starting very soon.

Speaking on Sam Thompson and Pete Wick’s podcast, Staying Relevant, Kady revealed she was asked to appear on the series in September this year, but declined as she’s just appeared on the most recent UK series.
She said: “” got asked to do Love Island The Games in September – I’ve had enough, I’m retired for the year. I’ll leave that one.”
As of yet there’s been no official confirmation of the cast list for the upcoming season, but rumours are swirling online.
“I want Maura Higgins so badly,”begged one fan, as another viewer predicted serial ladies’ man Adam Collard would “ruffle feathers and break some hearts as usual.”
Fans will have to wait and see the line-up when it is released.
