Vicky Pattison has become a beloved presenter and documentary maker over the years – but that’s not where she started her TV career.
The TV personality first rose to fame on the MTV reality show Geordie Shore alongside her co-stars Charlotte Crosby, Holly Hagan, Sophie Kasaei when it launched in 2011. The brunette beauty quickly became known for her wild antics and drunken blunders on the reality show, which was based on the MTV classic Jersey Shore.
Since then, the star went on to be crowned the Queen of the Jungle and even showed off her culinary prowess in the kitchen on Celebrity MasterChef. It’s fair to say the raven-haired beauty has settled down in recent years since she got engaged to her fiancé Ercan Ramadan.

As the reality star celebrates her 36th birthday with a bang, the Daily Star has uncovered the real reason why Vicky won’t return to the reality show. Let’s take a look…
During her time in the jungle back in 2015, the northern lass admitted that she regrets having sex live on the MTV series because she considers herself to be a “prude.” Speaking with Susannah Constantine in the jungle, she admitted that she only reason she jumped into bed on TV was because her friends were.
Reflecting on her time on the show, Vicky said: “It is what it is, it’s car crash TV essentially and I enjoyed doing it when I was younger but when I got slightly older, I thought I’m not sure I can do this. It’s supposedly youth culture.
“I had sex on TV and I regret that massively. It was one of those things. I’m a bit of a prude and always have been quite precious about sex. If I have sex, it’s because I love them.”
She went on: “At the time I thought it was the right thing to do, because other people were, but as I get older, I realise I was foolish.” It comes after the Geordie lass confessed that she felt “pressured” into living up to her onscreen persona while on the show.
Vicky described her sex scenes with her fiancé at the time as “massively damaging” in an interview with The Times magazine ahead of her Channel 4 documentary, Vicky Pattison: My Dad, Alcohol and Me. During the interview, she admitted that she felt “pressure” to be who the producers wanted her to be on the show.
She said: “I don’t blame the producers for anything, but I didn’t have the skills to navigate being surrounded by that much alcohol. I was young and felt the pressure to be who they wanted me to be, and that made me feel so powerless.

“It definitely exacerbated my issues. I became a complete caricature.” The reality star also opened up about her alcohol consumption during her stint on the show, even suggesting she “drank dangerous amounts.”
She continued: “In Marbella, I once got so drunk I had to be hospitalised. It was not a proud moment.” Since then, the star has come on leaps and bounds and is set to tie the knot with her hunky fiancé in the new year.
