Hollyoaks star David Tag admitted he had a few drinks with Jennifer Metcalfe before they filmed abroad.
In 2018, members of the cast including Chelsee Healey (who plays Goldie McQueen), Nadine Mulkerrin (who played Cleo McQueen) as well as David and Jennifer, jetted to Majorca to film Hen Party scenes. At the time, Cleo was marrying Joel Dexter (Rory Doulgas-Speed) and brought her family along for a wild party.
Sylver, played by David from 2018 to 2022, also joined his on-screen family not long after he made his debut. He encountered Mercedes for the first time in 20 years, only to discover she was newly engaged to Russ Owen.

After discovering Russ kissed Goldie, Mercedes and Sylver reunited and ignited an affair. David, 38, reflected on filming these scenes and branded it one of the most memorable from his time on the soap.

He exclusively told Daily Star: “When I first got there, we went to do some clothes shopping for my character and I was with a costume lady at the time. She said, ‘Let’s try some of these swimming shorts on’ and she told us we were going to Mallorca in a couple of months.
The actor continued: “We flew there to film these hen do scenes for Nadine’s character. The whole week was amazing.

“There was one scene in particular where me and Jen were on the rooftop of a hotel and we were starting our new romance. The sunset was going down and we’d had a couple of drinks before the scene so we were nice and loose.
The soap star recalled: “It was just a really lovely day and afterwards all the cast and crew went out for a bit of a party. It was beautiful.”

In December, David will transform into the baddie Fleshcreep for Jack and the Beanstalk in Middleton’s Arena. The star is no stranger to pantomime, having performed as the Ringmaster in Goldilocks and the Three Bears in both 2021 and 2022.
Speaking about the upcoming show, David admitted he is ready to tackle the role as it’s something he hasn’t done before. He said: “We’ve not actually started rehearsals yet but I’ve been given the song sheets. I’m excited to get my teeth into it because I’ve not really done anything like this before.”
