Emmerdale think the end could be in sight for Ethan Anderson after he was sacked from his job during the latest episode of the ITV soap.
Last week, Ethan, who works as a solicitor faced suspension from work when he was wrongly accused of attacking Suni. While enjoying a night out on the town, Ethan saw Suni and Nicky being assaulted in a homophobic hate crime and tried to save them.
But despite his best efforts, when the police arrived Ethan was arrested and ended up spending a night in a prison cell. Although he was released the following day, Ethan’s workplace was clearly not happy that he was caught in the ordeal and eventually called time on his position on Monday night’s show (December 4).

With things now in turmoil, Emmerdale viewers seem to think another exit could be pending. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one viewer said: “Now Ethan has lost his job, does this mean he can leave for good?”
Another penned: “If it’s over for Ethan & he leaves, can he please take his dad & his gran with him? They are probably the worst actors in Emmerdale.”
A third chimed: “Hopefully Ethan will be going out of the show his character is boring.” But others seemed to be confused that Ethan was let go from his role at the solicitor firm and commented on this too.

One viewer questioned: “So let me get this right a lawyer firm fire a lawyer. Everyone in the firm will know the law including the lawyer Ethan who has been fired. Under what grounds has he been fired??”
Meanwhile another fan said: “But surely they can’t just sack Ethan? Specially when nothings come of it.” And a a third distressed viewer said: “Emmerdale time poor Ethan I feel sorry for him he was only helping Sunni.”
Last week, when being questioned by the police for his involvement in the attack, Ethan was forced to defend himself. He said: “A group of white lads harass and assault two young men. And yet, by the words of a doorman who wasn’t even there and an accusation by one of the attackers, the only man arrested is a Black man. A gay Black man. Aren’t you embarrassed?”
