Anna Kendrick “memorised” her female co-star’s naked body during a steamy shower scene while filming Pitch Perfect.
The Cups songstress joked filming the soapy scenes was the “best day of [her] life” despite being very shy during her first naked scene. Thankfully Anna’s co-star Brittany Snow was on hand to help calm her nerves – and to strip off alongside her.
Anna played Beca in the 2012 release, set at Barden University and following an a cappella group as they attempt to win an annual singing competition. Brittany, meanwhile, plays Chloe – while the film also stars everyone from Rebel Wilson to Ben Platt.

Anna revealed on Anderson Live amid the film’s release: “When we started and we were disrobing, I was like, ‘I don’t wanna be here. I want to go home, this is awful’. By the end of the day, it was hot and humid and I was used to it.”

In the scene, the naked co-stars are seen harmonising together as Chloe tries to encourage Beca to join the a cappella group. And by the end, Anna had her naked body “memorised”.
She added in a separate interview: “The acoustics in there were lovely, for starters. It was steamy and humid and hot, so your voice is all warm and loose and, you know, Brittany and I just got real comfortable real quick, out of necessity.”
Brittany added: “Things got real. At the beginning, we were trying to be aware of our bits and pieces that were covering things, and then by the end, it just got so weird.” While Anna quipped: “It was hot. We were filming for a long time.”

The pair were “looking into each other’s eyes” as they sang to each other, with Kendrick joking: “That scene is like, 80% of the movie. It’s like a Hitchcockian kind of one long take.”
Things soon devolved into an XXX-rated scenario – at least in the actresses’ imagination. Anna joked: “And then the pizza guy shows up, and we don’t have any money to pay for it, because we’re naked.” As Snow couldn’t resist adding: “That will get all the guys to come for sure!”

Flash forward to 2020, and Anna became adamant that she will no longer strip off for nude scenes. She told The Sydney Morning Herald: “My personal feelings on nudity – that I’m not really interested in nudity for me – stayed the same. I’ve never had a problem with simulated sex scenes – that feels like it’s about the character, whereas I only get one body, so nudity is more about me.”
