Coronation Street has shared a rare look at how the show is filmed as they released a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Adam’s hit-and-run.
In gripping scenes aired recently, Adam Barlow – played by smouldering Scotsman Sam Robertson – was the subject of an attempted murder. It came from gangster Harvey Gaskell, who has been out for Adam since he turned against him.
The drug boss is currently in jail after being convicted of Natasha Blakeman’s death, but had been making a deal behind closed doors with Adam to help appeal the decision. In return, Adam asked that Harvey “take care of” baddie Damon Hay in the dodgy deal.

However, Adam soon realised the error of his ways and backed out of the “deal with the devil”, soon after signing the papers confirming his divorce from Sarah in the latest thrilling instalment, pleading with Sarah, played by Tina O’Brien to give him a second chance.
After some tense scenes that spilled out onto the street, a car came barrelling down the road aimed at Barlow. Having just pushed Bethany and Sarah out of the way, Adam was struck by the car and left with serious injuries while the driver sped away.
Now, as Adam is receiving treatment in hospital with the injuries he sustained from the crash, Corrie bosses have given fans a rare insight into how the shot was filmed. In the slow motion clip, stunt double Kimball Thomas-Hird runs towards the car, before jumping and taking a tumble along the roof of the vehicle before falling down to the ground.
As well as this, viewers get to see some snapshots of the hit-and-run take place making for some great action shots. We also see a shot of Robertson and the stunt double together, beaming with smiles after shooting the scene.
Taking to the caption, ITV wrote: “Ever wondered how we do a stunt scene? Check out this behind the scenes of Adam’s hit and run from tonight’s Corrie.”
Fans of the show, however, were quick to take to the comments section to give their thoughts on the stunt. One user asked: “Why did he run towards the car instead of out of the way?”
Another account penned: “Never mind 20mph speed limits, Corrie’s need to be 5 – too many car crashes!” Whilst a third fan wrote: “Why is no one helping in the street, sign of the times I suppose people don’t want to get involved.”
Coronation Street airs every weekday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
