Three years before Maura Higgins was linked to Danny Jones at a BRITS after-party, she was falsely romantically linked to Roman Kemp following the music awards do
Roman Kemp was apparently left fuming after he was falsely linked to Maura Higgins at the BRITs three years ago.
Love Island beauty Maura has been in the headlines in recent days after she was filmed seeming to kiss Danny Jones at a BRITs after-party. Footage on The Sun appeared to show the brunette and married McFly star Danny locking lips in a quick kiss at the bash, with a source saying: “Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
And it isn’t the first time she has been linked to someone at the event, as in 2022 a story about Maura getting close to Roman did the rounds.
The pair were reportedly introduced to each other at London’s O2 Arena then ended up at the same party in Soho. Then days later a story emerged claiming they had been flirting and “hooked up”.
“Maura and Roman were flirting and all over each other,” a source was quoted as saying. “They were dancing together and laughing a lot. They seemed to be glued to each other’s sides all night.”
However, according to the Daily Mail, Roman was “furious” about the story at the time “because it was simply not true”.
A friend added that he “was merely being polite to her when they met”.
Maura and Danny got friendly when they were both on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last year and the stars have seemingly stayed close since leaving the Aussie jungle camp.
While the footage from the party did seem to show them brushing lips, there is no suggestion that it was anything more than something between friends. A body language expert has also weighed in, telling the Daily Star that there was “nothing sensual between them”.
Danny, 38, has been married to former Miss England Georgia since 2014 and is said to have offered a sincere apology to his wife over what happened.
