Celebrity Big Brother star Ella Rae Wise has finally revealed the reason she has been unable to connect with co-star Chris Hughes, after calling him out in the house
In the latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother, Ella Rae Wise finally gave the reason why she can’t click with fellow contestant Chris Hughes.
Ella has been bad-mouthing Love Island alumn Chris to anyone who will listen in the house. Her upset seemed to be about not hanging out enough, and then she sent accusations at him and JoJo Siwa for being aloof and separating themselves from everyone else.
Not only her, but some of the other housemates have accused the pair of some serious camera-courting, sparking fans to speculate that Ella was jealous of their friendship and that this was why she was calling the pair out.
Ella has finally addressed what she says is the truth behind her and Chris and why they “haven’t connected” in the house.
She said that she couldn’t get chummy with him because of his history with her mate Olivia Attwood. Nothing to do with JoJo.
Olivia was coupled up with Chris on Love Island’s season three back in 2017, and apparently, their split wasn’t pretty.
Because of her girl code with Olivia, Ella felt she just “couldn’t connect” with Chris.
After catching Chris chatting about Olivia on Wednesday, Ella used it as fuel for her less-than-warm feelings, throwing a bit of shade by suggesting that “people change”.
At first, she just shook her head as Danny Beard chatted away. Then the viewers finally heard her say: “That’s really hard cos I actually do know her and that’s why I can’t connect with him. But people change, it was years ago.”
The audience wasn’t having any of it, with many calling out what they saw as a flimsy excuse.
One viewer wrote on X: “What I find crazy is that Ella was talking about how she was wanted to connect with Chris and how she thought she would…but then said to Danny tonight that she is friends with Olivia and would find it difficult to be friends with Chris. Girl what!?”
Another spectator chimed in with: “Ella pretending she doesn’t get on with Chris because of Olivia,” while a third threw some shade, saying: “So Ella’s new excuse as to why she doesn’t like Chris is because she knows Olivia… Lol as if she wasn’t pining after him for a showmance.”
But some were genuinely gobsmacked by the revelation. A fan exclaimed: “Oh s**t yeah, Ella knows Olivia Attwood! I didn’t even put 2 and 2 together until now!” Another simply said: “Ella is Olivia’s friend.”
Drama flared up in the latest episode when JoJo felt snubbed by Chris after he asked Jack P Shepherd for a Chinese takeaway date instead of her and JoJo wasn’t shy about expressing her sense of betrayal.
